It was the first controller that worked perfectly as a joypad for PC.

Which is why the Xbox 360 controller worked so well for the majority of PC games, ported or not. It works flawlessly… on the Xbox One.įor those who do not know, a majority of the games are designed on the Xbox consoles before being ported onto other consoles and PC/Steam. The controller is pretty much the equivalent of an Xbox One controller with some really cool aesthetic features and some cool extra buttons that are actually very useful. There’s not much more I can say about the design and function that hasn’t been said on the initial review by Michael Sarratt.

Prior to having the graphics amplifier with RTX 2080, which I only recently bought this February 2019, and the current Windows 10 version said above, I had no issues.PDP Afterglow Prismatic Wired Xbox One Controller for PC Use I haven't tried disconnecting my laptop from the alienware graphics amplifier and try running it on it's own GPU though since I haven't had reasons to take my laptop anywhere and it's a pain in the butt to reconnect again and reinstall the drivers. Alienware R4 17 i7 7700hq, 16 gb DDR4 ram, GTX 1070 but with Alienware Graphics Amplifier connecting RTX 2080. Dell 144hz 1440p monitor on native resolution.

Newest NVIDIA driver (latest update) to take advantage of RTX features. I'm using Windows 10 version 1809 (latest updated) to take advantage of RTX features I tried both direct USB connection and blutooth and the battery is fully charged as well.

Input lag or frame drop it's too distracting and unplayable. It happened on Forza 7 and Witcher 3 especially. I can definitely see the game chug when I switch to the controller vs when I use mouse and keyboard. I'm having the same issues for most of my games when I try to use an xbox one controller.

Has anyone else noted a link between FPS and Bluetooth issues? About 10 times, the controller itself would completely loose connection and start flashing again, even though battery is good - i keep good ones in there. So i'm not sure how game FPS (frames per second) is related to controller efficiency but i'm thinking there is a link. I've been testing wired too is FPS seems much improved, though wireless is the way i want to go, its just more comfortable. And, I see Microsoft is releasing a new smaller dongle for Xbox one controllers on 1/31/18, so maybe they know this dongle is needed over bluetooth. I'm just not feeling bluetooth on the PC is fast enough or reliable enough for serious gaming. I'm looking into switching back to the non-bluetooth dongle Microsoft sells as a possible solution to Bluetooth. I have two PCs and we use Xbox One Wireless Controllers via Bluetooth, and we have experienced a significant slowdown in FPS on some games (and we have 1080's in each) several times (even playing same game together one person will see slowdown, other not), and the more i've looked into this, my current theory is when bluetooth slows down from PC side or the controller side it slows down FPS but not sure why.

I don't have another windows 10 device but it works properly with Windows 8.1 Have you tried it over another device running Win10? Maybe that narrow it down a bit? Ok,This issue has only been present since i upgraded to windows 10,i.e.it is not a hardware deficiency.I have found that when i use a game pad mapper, the lag is not present when the controller is recognised as the keyboard/mouse.However this solution is very glichy and not ideal. so think of microsoft's pairing feature as an addon but don't use it too much. In case you're playing a multiplayer game, the output will also be subject to ping and the strength of your connection. Secondly, windows will process the data from xbox which will add precious microseconds to the response time, thus making it crappier. with that said, windows pc does get paired with xbox one but the issue is this.įirst of all, your console will send the information to the display unit via tha cable, which takes time since hdmi is digital and not analog like vgas used to be, Dude, can you look up your tv/monitor? it's build and year, brand and stuff? a lot of display units have heinous lag (mine has one) so you can google stuff up or post the details of your tv here.
